If you’re a fan of psychological horror that crawls under your skin rather than just jumping at your face, is a must-play. Developed by Infinitap Games , this indie gem isn't just another scary game—it’s a deeply personal journey inspired by the creator’s real-life struggles with OCD and depression. A World of Pen and Ink

In Neverending Nightmares , you play as Thomas, a man trapped in a cycle of "false awakenings". Every time you die or face a trauma, you "wake up" in a bed, only to realize you’ve just descended into a deeper, more disturbing layer of the dream.

: This is a "walking simulator" in the best sense. Most of your time is spent wandering through decaying mansions, silent forests, and blood-stained asylums.

The first thing you’ll notice is the striking art style. Inspired by the works of Edward Gorey , the game looks like a Victorian-era sketchbook come to life. The world is almost entirely black and white, using heavy cross-hatching to create deep, oppressive shadows.

: Thomas is not a hero. He has asthma and can only run for short bursts before he starts wheezing, making stealth encounters with the game’s "inner demons" nerve-wracking.
