Charlie Hunter is a jazz-fusion virtuoso famous for playing custom seven and eight-string guitars that allow him to play bass, chords, and melodies simultaneously. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he has released dozens of albums as a leader and collaborator.

Recorded with his group Pound for Pound, this album features vibraphonist Stefon Harris and percussionist John Santos. It was dedicated to saxophonist Calder Spanier, who had recently passed away.
