Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family (2011) -
is a comedy-drama written and directed by Tyler Perry, based on his 2010 stage play of the same name. It is the 11th film in Perry's franchise and the sixth to feature the iconic character Madea. Plot Overview
The story follows Shirley (Loretta Devine), a devoted matriarch and Madea’s niece, who discovers her cancer has returned and that she has only weeks to live. Her final wish is to gather her three adult children—Kimberly, Tammy, and Byron—for one last happy family dinner to share the news. However, the children are too consumed by their own dysfunctional lives and personal secrets to stay in a room together for more than a few minutes. Madea is called in to use her signature "tough love" to force the family to confront their issues and honor Shirley’s wish.
