14-year-old Julien (Thierry Tevini) is infatuated with his beautiful older cousin, Julia (Anja Schüte).

Julia largely ignores Julien, favoring the attention of Charles, a "slimy" twenty-something guest at the family hotel who is already engaged to Julien’s sister, Claire.

The story is set in Provence, France, during the idyllic but tense summer of 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II.

As the men of the estate are called to the front when war breaks out, Julien suddenly becomes the "man of the house," finding himself the object of desire for the remaining women. Cast and Production
