I picked up a copy of the Star Wars despecialized edition a year or so ago. Haven’t yet downloaded yet.
My question is would I see anything different with the 4K 77 print on my 1600×900 monitor? Or would I have to upgrade to a true 4k monitor to appreciate the difference?

Actually, the time was exactly right for what LUCAS created. But it was strictly available in the very, very active world of underground comics and literature. What we young fans didn’t have was…the holy grail, a film! Lucas and also Ridley Scott were well aware of the hundreds of thousands of Sci fi, horror, adventure fans out there who weren’t being served.
