Hart's War is a 2002 American war drama film directed by Gregory Hoblit that blends the POW survival genre with a courtroom legal thriller. It is based on the 1999 novel of the same name by John Katzenbach , whose father was a former WWII prisoner of war.
Set in December 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge , the story follows ( Colin Farrell ), a law student and senator's son who is captured by German forces. After being interrogated, he is sent to Stalag VI-A, a POW camp.
