The long-awaited sequel to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) has been in "development hell" for over a decade. As of early 2026, the project is reportedly back in active development at Warner Bros. with a new script iteration.

While a third installment of the Robert Downey Jr. franchise was once targeted for late 2021, there is no official movie titled .
