On//20, a researcher, hereafter referred to as D-12654, was allowed to read SCP-3008 aloud as part of a controlled experiment. D-12654 became fixated on constructing a specific piece of furniture, a POÄNG chair. Despite attempts to intervene, D-12654 continued to construct the chair, eventually completing it in a matter of minutes.
On//20, a researcher, hereafter referred to as D-9881, was allowed to read SCP-3008 aloud as part of a controlled experiment. D-9881 became increasingly agitated and fixated on constructing IKEA furniture, eventually abandoning the testing chamber and fleeing to an IKEA store.
Euclid
When an individual reads or recites the script aloud, they will begin to experience a strong compulsion to construct IKEA furniture, regardless of their prior interest or experience with such activities. The individual will feel an overwhelming urge to visit an IKEA store, purchase specific furniture items listed in the script, and then construct them according to the provided instructions.
The constructed chair was found to exhibit anomalous durability, resisting significant attempts to damage or disassemble it. D-12654 was eventually administered a Class-A amnesiac and released back into the testing pool. SCP-3008 Script
Testing has revealed that SCP-3008 can be used in conjunction with other anomalous scripts to create complex, IKEA-based reality distortions. Further research is required to fully understand the potential applications and risks of this discovery.
SCP-3008
SCP-3008 is to be contained within a standard anomalous item locker at Site-17. Access to SCP-3008 requires Level 3 clearance and approval from at least two Level 4 personnel. Testing with SCP-3008 must be conducted in a controlled environment, and all experiments must be logged and approved by a Level 4 personnel or higher. SCP-3008 is not to be used for personal gain or entertainment.
