[s3e3] Welcome To The Chumbucket «2027»

This is a story based on the Season 3, Episode 3 episode of SpongeBob SquarePants , "Welcome to the Chum Bucket," exploring the emotional weight of SpongeBob being separated from the Krusty Krab.

"Take him back!" Plankton yelled, shoving the contract into Krabs' claws. "He’s a menace! He’s ruined my machinery! He won't stop talking about 'secret ingredients' being 'friendship' and 'magic'! I can't take it anymore!"

But SpongeBob wasn't a machine. To him, a Krabby Patty was an act of love, and he couldn't feel love in a place where the floor was made of diamond-plated steel. In a frenzy of welding sparks and mad science, Plankton constructed a massive laboratory apparatus designed to extract SpongeBob's fry-cook knowledge and transplant it into a robotic body. He strapped SpongeBob into a chair, wires trailing from his porous head.

"Welcome to your new home, SpongeBob!" Plankton cackled. "Don't bother unpacking. Your only job is to stand at that grill and make me a Krabby Patty. The recipe, if you please." This is a story based on the Season

"I’m sorry, lad," Mr. Krabs croaked, his voice devoid of its usual capitalist vigor. "I thought I had a full house. I didn't think he was bluffing."

The transition was jarring. Where the Krusty Krab smelled of salt and success, the Chum Bucket smelled of rust and desperation. Plankton was waiting, standing atop a lab table with a megaphone. He’s ruined my machinery

SpongeBob’s eyes lit up. The color returned to his cheeks. He leapt behind the counter, grabbed his spatula, and performed a triple-flip that landed a perfect patty onto a bun. The sizzle was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. "Order up, Mr. Krabs!" SpongeBob cheered.
