The episode begins with Rick fully committed to his new life traveling with two crows, styled as an anime-inspired adventure. However, he soon discovers the crows are cheating on him with his arch-nemesis, an anthropomorphic owl. Heartbroken and realizing his "crow era" was just another distraction, Rick returns to the Smith household, only to find a 40-year-old Morty waiting for him.
