The story picks up 13 years after the original massacre. When two rowdy teenagers are murdered by Leatherface while calling into a radio show, DJ "Stretch" Brock accidentally records the entire attack. She teams up with Lt. Lefty Enright, the uncle of previous victims Sally and Franklin Hardesty, who has spent years obsessively tracking the killers.
