The story begins with a sudden, deadly pandemic that transforms humans into zombies, referred to by the characters as "them". The plot follows a group of teenagers—primarily Takashi Komuro and his classmates Rei Miyamoto, Saeko Busujima, Saya Takagi, and Kohta Hirano—as they fight their way out of Fujimi High School.
