Much of the tension comes from the internal power struggles within the Irish political landscape; it’s as much a political drama as an action movie.

The story follows (Jackie Chan), a humble London restaurant owner and former special forces operative. His life is shattered when his teenage daughter is killed in a senseless politically motivated bombing claimed by a group called the "Authentic IRA."

The film functions as a dual character study. While Chan provides the visceral action, Brosnan portrays a complex political figure trapped between his violent past and a fragile peace.
