Before deploying to clients, you must create a configuration file that dictates how the software behaves on those machines.
: You must enter a unique Customization Code (at least 8 alphanumeric characters). This code encrypts the console and workstation files; if lost, it cannot be recovered by Faronics support. 2. Creating the Workstation Package
: To update existing clients to a newer version, right-click the machine in the console and select Update Deep Freeze . This automatically thaws the machine, installs the update, and refreezes it. Deep Freeze Enterprise - Faronics
: Run the installer and enter your license key. You can also opt for a fully functional 30-day evaluation, but workstations will revert to a "Thawed" state permanently after this period.
: Configure a workstation password under the Passwords tab to prevent unauthorized local changes.
The management tools (Enterprise Console and Configuration Administrator) must be installed on the machine used to manage your network workstations.
: Obtain the installation package from the Faronics Labs portal and extract the contents to locate the DFEnt.exe file.
