Set in 1805 following the death of Admiral Nelson, the story follows as Albert Poop-Decker , a hopelessly unqualified new midshipman who has his identity stolen by a barmaid, Sally (played by Juliet Mills ), so she can sneak onto the frigate Venus to find her press-ganged boyfriend.
